323 NIR cops promoted

A total of 323 police personnel across Negros Island Region were promoted on Monday to the next higher rank, as the Philippine National Police conducted a simultaneous oathtaking, donning, and pinning of ranks ceremonies, all over the country.

PBrig. Gen. Arnold Thomas Ibay, regional police director of Police Regional Office- Negros Island Region, yesterday administered the oathtaking of newly promoted police commissioned and non-commissioned officers held at Camp Alfredo Montelibano Sr. in Bacolod City.

A total of 117 were promoted to the rank of police corporal, Police Staff Sergeants- 65, Police Master Sergeants – 58, Police Senior Master Sergeants- 10, Police Chief Master Sergeants – 46, Police Executive Master Sergeants – 3, Police Lieutenants – 3, Police Captains – 19,  and one Police Lieutenant Colonel.

In his message, PBrig. Gen. Arnold Thomas Ibay, PRO- NIR regional director, highlighted the occasion as a defining milestone in the professional journey of the newly promoted personnel of PRO Negros Island Region, emphasizing that the ceremony represents a higher responsibility to lead, serve, and uphold the rule of law with integrity.

Ibay stressed that the promotions were earned through discipline, sacrifice, and commitment to public service, and reminded officers that leadership is measured by character and example.

He also ordered the newly-promoted police officers to enforce the law without fear and favor, uphold professionalism in every operation, protect human rights at all times, and ensure that public trust remains at the center of everything they do, and serve with integrity. | GB
