A total of 303 fugitives were arrested during the month-long campaign against wanted persons conducted by the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOCPPO) and Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) in July.

They include 260 accounted for by NOCPPO, 14 of them categorized as most wanted persons (MWPs) and 246 others considered as other wanted persons (OWPs).

Most wanted persons are those facing heinous cases while other wanted persons are involved in minor cases, according to the Philippine National Police.

Meanwhile, BCPO arrested six MWPs and 37 OWPs last month.

In the accomplishment report of Police Regional Office (PRO)-Western Visayas (Region 6), NOCPPO logged the most number of wanted persons, with 260 arrested fugitives, compared to other major police units in Western Visayas.

All over the region, the PRO-6 arrested 572 wanted persons.
