Policemen seized more than P1.3 million worth of suspected shabu from three siblings, who were arrested in a buy-bust at Purok Kabugwason in Barangay Mansilingan, Bacolod City on Wednesday (Oct. 23).
The operation, which was conducted by the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) led by PLt. Col. Antonio Benitez, led to the arrest of Eron Montalban, 35, his sisters, Ilyn, 26, and Irene, 34, and the recovery of about 200 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P1.36 million.
The CDEU operatives were assisted by Maritime Command personnel led by PCapt. Reynaldo Bauden.
Each gram of shabu has a prevailing street price of P10,000, according to the BCPO.
On Tuesday, a buy-bust in Hacienda Najalin, Barangay Nagasi, La Carlota City, Negros Occidental led to the arrest of two drug suspects, both residents of the place.
They yielded two kilos of suspected dried marijuana leaves, P500 in marked money, and a digital weighing scale. | GB
