The Bacolod Traffic and Transport Management Department recorded 2,363 traffic violations and enforcement actions throughout July.
The city said this was the result of intensified enforcement of local traffic ordinances and anti-obstruction policies.
Road obstructions topped the list with 465 recorded cases, followed by 319 instances of disregarding traffic light signals, and 304 reckless driving offenses.
The department also conducted 289 towing operations, cited 217 motorcycle drivers for failing to wear helmets, and caught 206 for driving without a license.
Other infractions logged during the month included 181 for illegal parking, 113 for entering prohibited zones, 72 truck ban violations, 66 cases of driving without an Official Receipt and Certificate of Registration, and 61 subjected to clamping operations.
Other offenses recorded were using unauthorized terminals, trip-cutting, and overloading. | TMD
