Torrential rains pound 13 LGUs for 2 days; thousands take shelter in southern Negros

At least 6,797 people have been forced to take shelter in evacuation centers as heavy rains brought by southwest monsoon enhanced by Tropical Storm Crising affected 13 towns and cities in Negros Occidental for the second day on Friday (July 18), the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC) said in a report.
