Benitez eyeing Lacson Street as modern Bacolod showcase

Mayor Alfredo Benitez said he is eyeing Lacson Street “as the showcase of modern Bacolod”. In his second State of the City Address (SOCA) earlier this evening, July 3, at the Bacolod Government Center, Benitez said his administration has engaged the services of an urban planner to craft the master plan for this highly-urbanized city.

Businessman Ian Manuel Lo, a known philanthropist in Negros Occidental, esteemed chef Antonio Escalante, and world-renowned violinist Gil Lopez Kabayao led this year’s 10 oustanding Cadizeños to be feted at an awarding ceremony in line with the city’s 57th Charter Anniversary to be held at Cadiz Arena on July 4.
