All security forces in Negros Occidental are now on full alert status as Philippine Army soldiers and Philippines National Police (PNP) personnel have already been dispatched to their respective areas to secure the synchronized barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan (BSKE) elections on Oct. 30.

The Philippine Army has reiterated its warning to candidates against paying “permit to win fees” to the New People’s Army (NPA) as the campaign period for the synchronized barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections ends Saturday (Oct.28).
