SP commends topnotchers in Interior Design exams

Bacolodnon Lois Baldonado Bernardino, a graduate of La Consolacion College-Bacolod, was commended this afternoon, Aug. 2, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod for placing fourth, with a score of 85.25 percent, in the Interior Design Licensure Examination July 25.

Add’l aid to hog raisers mulled

On top of the P10 million financial support to hog raisers affected by swine diseases in Negros Occidental, Provincial Administrator, Atty. Rayfrando Diaz, said Wednesday the Capitol might allocate additional funds for such assistance.

The provincial government of Negros Occidental is validating reports on the use of illegal drugs, and even alleged drug peddling activities inside the Capitol establishments.
Provincial Administrator, Atty. Rayfrando Diaz, confirmed Wednesday, Aug. 2, he received consistent reports of drug use, and even drug selling inside the Capitol.

Gun ban starts Aug. 28

The gun ban period for the synchronized Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) on Oct. 30, will start from Aug. 28 until Nov. 29, Provincial Comelec supervisor, Atty. Ian Lee Ananoria, said Wednesday.

Bacolod to collect P1K permit fee each electric, telco pole

The Sangguniang Panlungsod of Bacolod passed on third and final reading Aug. 2 the ordinance that imposes a P1,000 mayor’s permit fee on electric and/or telecommunication, cable TV poles/posts/towers owned by public utility companies, and erected on government and/or private lots along government streets, roads, highways and/or alleys per post per year.
