Ceneco JVA plebiscite suspended ‘until further notice’

July 6, 2023

The Central Negros Electric Cooperative Wednesday suspended the July 8 and 9 plebiscite on its Joint Venture Agreement with Primelectric Holdings Inc., “until further notice”.

Ceneco was directed by National Electrification Administrator Antonio Mariano Almeda July 4 to “suspend the conduct of the plebiscite for a period not exceeding 60 days”.

The state of Bacolod City is strong, and it will be stronger; the best of Bacolod is yet to come, Mayor Alfredo Benitez said in his first State of the City Address (SOCA) in front of the Government Center, Wednesday, July 5.

Benitez enumerated projects and programs to transform Bacolod into a super-city, even as he stressed “a golden age of construction”, with several big-ticket developments underway.
