When I retired and moved back to the United States, one of the first things I did was have cable installed. For several months, I was glued to the television set for three or four hours a day until I just got completely tired of the insipid offerings, and worse, I got tired of all the extra charges on my cable bill every month.

Officials of the city government of Dumaguete have supported the localization of the Freedom of Information (FOI) to foster transparency and accountability in governance.
Dumaguete City Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo and Association of Barangay Captains (ABC) Dumaguete chapter president Dionie Amores agreed that FOI is a tool for good governance as it provides people with access to important government information.
