12-hour brownout March 4-5

The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines scheduled a 12-hour power outage on March 4 and 5, both starting at 6 a.m., and will affect several areas served by the Central Negros Electric Cooperative in Bacolod City and neighboring local government units, and of the Negros Occidental Electric Cooperative.

Amoebiasis cases down to 55 in San Carlos

The number of acute gastroenteritis and amoebiasis cases in San Carlos City, Negros Occidental, was down to 55, as of Feb. 28, from its peak of 469, Joe Alingasa, head of the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, said.

DPWH Bacolod completes P77.2-million road project

The Department of Public Works and Highways Bacolod City District Engineering Office said it completed the 1.02-kilometer road project, amounting to P77.2-million, that stretches from BS Aquino Drive to Barangay 23, and is part of the Tourism Road Infrastructure Project.
