Two siblings were arrested by the police in Bago City, Negros Occidental on Tuesday (April 1) after being tagged as suspects in the fatal shooting of a laborer on Sunday.
The victim, alias “Rene”, a 37-year-old laborer, succumbed to two gunshot wounds.
He died on the spot, according to the initial investigation of Bago City Police Station.
A witness, who was walking ahead of the victim, told the police that he heard three gunshots.
When he turned back, the victim was already nowhere to be found.
The witness immediately informed the family of the victim, who was found dead on Monday.
The two suspects, who were identified as alias “Ikit” and his brother, alias “Dennis”, were arrested by the police during a pursuit operation at Hacienda Nacalang in Purok Yellowbell, Barangay Binubuhan. | GB
