Two more personnel of the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office have been tested positive for COVID-19 as of yesterday.
Police Lt. Abegael Donasco, deputy public information officer, said this brought to 40 the number of NOCPPO personnel infected by the virus since last year.
Donasco said the two police officers are asymptomatic, and both are now under strict quarantine.
She added that contract tracing is still ongoing among those who had direct contact with the two police personnel, whose areas of assignment she withheld.
Donasco said that the 38 other police personnel infected by the virus have fully recovered, and have been back on duty. – GB
