2 nabbed with P680K in shabu

A resident of Barangay 14, Bacolod City, considered by the police as a high-value individual in the campaign against illegal drugs, and his companion, were arrested by operatives of the PNP 6 Special Operation Unit and the Bacolod Police Station 6 in a buy-bust operation in Brgy. 31 in the City Sept. 19.

Rolly Moncillo Asumbre, an HVI, and Inocentes Villanueva Posadas, of Brgy. Kabanbanan, Himamaylan City in Negros Occidental, were nabbed with 20 heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets of suspected shabu, weighing about 100 grams and worth P680,000, P1,000 in buy-bust money, a coin purse, one black waist bag, a pair of white socks, a .22 unlicensed caliber revolver with one live ammo, and a Toyota Vios taxi with plate number FAG 2416.

Police operatives inventory the items seized in a buy-bust operation Sunday.

The third suspect, identified as Ericson Abillana, 29, of Brgy. 40, Bacolod City, is at-large, the police said.

The sachets of shabu were turned over to Provincial Crime Laboratory Office for examination while the other items are in the custody of the SOU6 for proper disposition.

The suspects are detained at Police Station 2 and charged for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. — MML
