2 injured in indiscriminate firing

An employee of a sugar milling company and a housewife both sustained injuries due to an indiscriminate firing incident on Jan. 11 at  Sitio Tap-ok, Barangay Enclaro in Binalbagan, Negros Occidental.

Both victims, whose identities are being withheld by the police, were brought to the Binalbagan infirmary for treatment of minor injuries.

Initial police investigation showed that the suspect, a 41-year-old tricycle driver, who was under the influence of a liquor, fired his homemade 12-gauge shotgun several times, after having a heated argument with his neighbor.

The suspect fled after the incident. | GB
