Two construction workers drowned at a river in Sitio Dumpsite, Barangay Buenavista, Himamaylan City, Negros Occidental on Wednesday, July 10.
The two victims, both 19, whose identities were withheld by the police, are residents of Barangay Felisa in Bacolod City.
Initial police investigation showed that the two victims were among the four persons who went for a swim in the river.
Their bodies were recovered almost two hours after they were reported missing.
The victims were hired as workers of an ongoing road concreting project in Barangay Buenavista. | GB
