Sixteen candidates are vying for the Lin-ay sang Silay 2026 crown as part of the 12-day Kansilay Festival celebration set from June 1 to 12.
The candidates from all the 16 barangays of Silay City were presented to the local media on Wednesday, May 27.
Vying for the title are Ashly Nicole Sabute – Uno 1; Dahpne Ann Hinolan – Guihalaran; Hyacinth Britanico – Balaring; Annjanet Malacad – Quatro; Femie Siar – Cinco; Mila Rose Gucio – Mambulac; Kaith Yrikah Ortilano – E. Lopez; Shyra Torrecampo – Tres; Nicole Abby Arnaiz – Rizal; Jerena Diaz – Hawaiian; Regene Taleon – Guimbalaon; April Joy Cotamen – Kapitan Ramon; Aira David Arroyo – Lantad; Michaella Villaflor – Bagtic; Christelle Ann Marie Judiana – Patag; and Megan Bless Gomed – Dos.
During the press presentation, Arnaiz, who represents Barangay Rizal, bested 15 other candidates for the award as Muse of the Media.
The sashing ceremony of Lin-ay as well as Lakan sang Silay candidates will be held on June 1, which is the Kansilay Festival opening salvo.
It will be followed by the Talent Competition and judging of Traje de Silay design on June 3 while the Lin-ay sang Silay preliminaries is slated on June 4.
The search for Lakan sang Silay 2026 pageant night is slated on June 8 while the Lin-ay sang Silay pageant will be held on June 10. | GB
