A total of 140 assorted firearms were recovered from 33 arrested suspects in various police operations last month, records of the Police Regional Office (PRO)-6 showed.
These include 123 recovered by the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOCPPO) while the Bacolod City Police Office accounted for 17 guns.
NOCPPO also arrested 27 suspects while BCPO collared six violators, PRO-6 reports showed.
All over Western Visayas, the PRO-6 reported the recovery of 401 assorted firearms and 56 explosives while 55 suspects were arrested.
NOCPPO topped the campaign, both in numbers of firearms recovery and suspects arrested, among the provincial and city police offices all over the region. | GB
