Ten Bacolodnons each received P15,000 in livelihood grant from the Office of the Vice President (OVP) – Panay and Negros Islands Satellite Office, under its Mag negosyo Ta Day (MTD) program, recently.

The grant will augment the beneficiaries’ existing businesses, such as a variety (sari-sari) store, vegetable vending, and milk tea and snack house.

With the help of the MTD program and the leadership of the Panay and Negros Satellite Office, the beneficiaries were given the additional capital to expand and develop their businesses, a press release from the OVP satellite office said May 21.

MTD is one of the flagship programs of the OVP that aims to provide entrepreneurial opportunities to Filipinos, who belong to the vulnerable and disadvantaged sectors.

The OVP will continue to serve through services that have a long-term impact on the lives of the Filipino community, the press release added. ||
